Basil essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the flowering tops and leaves of the herb. Basil is described as both relaxing and stimulating, and has antiseptic and antiviral properties. Add the essential oil basil to a Room Burner when you need to use your powers of concentration, in a morning bath to set you up for the day, and in a lotion or massage blend before or after exercising.

Grown in Italy, Bergamot oil is named after the Italian city of Bergamo in Lombardy, where the first oil was sold. The oil has been used in Italian Folk medicine for many years. Bergamot oil consists of a greenish-yellow tint, accompanied with a fresh, sweet, and slightly spicy- balsamic undertone.

Upon ageing, it turns a brownish-olive colour. Uplifting with its deliciously fresh and invigorating citrus aroma, Bergamot is also useful for oily and blemished skin as a skin conditioner. Bergamot blends well with Lavender, Neroli, Jasmine, Cypress, Geranium, Lemon, Chamomile, and Coriander oils.

Caution: Do not apply to the skin before going out into the sun as this may increase the susceptibility of sunburn (Phototoxic)

Black pepper essential oil is obtained from black peppercorns, this is a very warming and stimulating Essential Oil. Add to a massage blend for use either before or after sporting activities to promote stamina. An ideal essential oil for inhalation and also to use when muscles are tired and stiff, and to keep the digestive system in good order. Black pepper is often described as clearing.

Cedarwood essential oil is obtained from the wood of the tree, this soothing essential oil contains both astringent and antiseptic qualities. Add cedarwood to skin care preparations to suit oily or combination skin, or to your bath at the end of a tiring day. Use cedarwood in a Room Burner or body lotion to repel insects.

Chamomile essential oil is obtained from the tiny daisy-like flowers, Chamomile is both soothing and comforting, and ideal for use in a bath or massage blend when your day is over. Add it to body lotions and skin care preparations to suit normal, fair and sensitive skin. Chamomile is also a favourite choice for use with children.

Much richer in aroma than ground cinnamon. Peppery, earthy, spicy, bright yet slightly woodsy. It has a golden yellow / brown hue with a slightly oily feeling and strong aroma. Its possible uses include Constipation, exhaustion, flatulence, lice, low blood pressure, rheumatism, scabies, stress.

Toning and refreshing, it is particularly good for oily skin, and added to a foot bath will promote healthy feet.

Clove Bud is derived from Eugenia caryophyllata an organic essential oil. Dentists traditionally used this essential oil for it's healing and soothing properties, to ease pain, of their patients. This remarkable essential oil is a great aid to the immune system,, as it helps to ward off colds and builds resistance to them. You can also savour the aroma by diffusing Clove Bud into the air, or you may dilute it and apply directly to the skin.
