Botanical Name: Sesamum indicum
Extraction Method: Cold Pressed

Description: Sesame Oil is rich in vitamins E and B, and in minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. It is an excellent emollient, and if used in dilution with other carrier oils, is a popular massage and aromatherapy carrier oil. It will not satin sheets.

Color: Light Yellow

Aromatic Description: Sesame has a very distinct seed aroma. It has the potential of overpowering other scents.

Common Uses: Sesame Oil is popular in cosmetics as a natural moisturizer. Similarly, it is a good choice for massage therapists and aromatherapists alike.

Consistency: Sesame is slightly thicker then Typical Carrier Oils.

Absorption: Sesame oil will not stain sheets, but does leave an oily residue.

Shelf life: Sesame oil is slow to go rancid; users can expect a shelf life of 6 Months to 1 Year with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Description: Safflower Oil is the first choice amongst manufacturers for cosmetics requiring Moisturizing Oil. It is also very popular in massage blends as it is easily absorbed, and can be washed from sheets without heavy staining.

Color: Light yellow

Aromatic Description: Safflower Oil is odourless.

Common Uses: safflower is heavily used in manufacturing, massage therapy, and to a lesser degree, as a carrier oil in aromatherapy.

Absorption: Safflower is easily absorbed.

Pure Cold Pressed Hempseed Oil

Botanical Name: Cannabis sativa
Extraction Method: Cold Pressed

Description: Hempseed Oil is high in Omega fatty acids and proteins. It makes a fantastic cosmetic grade oil due to its nutrients, though the illegal Cannabis association tends to reduce its popularity. It is currently being more readily explored by progressive manufacturers.

Pure Sweet Almond Oil 100ml

Sweet almond oil (Prunus amygdalus dulcis) is a great vegetable oil that is one of the most used carrier oils in aromatherapy massage, and this is understandable since it has a fine texture, is easily absorbed, and helps to leave the skin soft and satiny smooth yet it is non-greasy and easily absorbed.

A member of the Rosaceae family and a relative of the Peach and Apricot, the Almond tree is native to Barbary but cultivated in the Mediterranean and California. It bears soft cream blossoms with yellow centres, which appear before the leaves.

Sweet Almond Oil is obtained from the dried kernels of the almond tree and it is an excellent emollient (softening and soothing to the skin) and also helps the skin to balance its loss and absorption of moisture.

Rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. An ideal basic carrier oil, nourishing and protecting to the skin. Calms skin irritation. Can be used on its own or with other carrier oils. Good keeping qualities as it contains vitamin E. This is the most widely used carrier oil.

It is further a great moisturizer suitable for all skin types, helps relieve irritation, inflammation and itching, and is greatly lubricating and because it is not an overly fast penetrating oil, it is a good massage medium to use to help spread the oil and essential oil mixture, while still allowing you time to do a good massage before it is absorbed by the skin.

Pure Grapeseed Carrier Oil

Grapeseed oil is suitable for all skin types. Its virtual lack of aroma makes it an ideal base for essential oils. Extremely soothing and an excellent emollient, it is ideal for skins that do not absorb oils easily, as it is finer even than sweet almond, and therefore absorbs more quickly, leaving the skin feeling satiny soft. It does not aggravate acne, and is purported to have regenerative and restructuring virtues due to its essential fatty acid content, which is important for skin and cell membranes. Its slightly astringent nature may also help tone the skin
