Plant: This tree comes from the family of more than 600 species of Eucalyptus. Commonly known as the ‘Lemon Scented Eucalyptus’ this tree has a distinctive bark that has a smooth texture and is dimpled.
Oil: The oil is taken from the leaves, twigs and wood of the more mature Eucalyptus tree’s as they have a higher amount of oil and provide a higher standard of the pale yellow oil at distillation.
Scent: Strong and fresh, similar tones as citronella.
Cautions : Eucalyptus oil is a powerful oil and should be used with care . People with high blood pressure and epilepsy should avoid it. Excessive use of the oil may cause headaches.
