Sandalwood Amyris (Origin Haiti)
West Indian Sandalwood Oil is the naturally occuring essential oil from the wood of the West Indian sandalwood tree, The oil is recovered through the physical separation process of partial pressure steam distillation. No additives, solvents or chemicals are used at any point of the recovery process.
The distillation material arrives at the distillation facility in the form of dry tree trunks, branches and roots from the tree. Among the original uses for Amyris was to be diluted as a wound cleanser as it is claimed to possess natural antiseptic qualities and some expectorant qualities when inhaled as steam. Historically reported to have some aphrodisiac qualities when in massage and oil burners, Amyris also has a calmative effect and is often used as an aid to meditation.
Blends well with Basil, Chamomile, Coriander, Cardamon, Geranium, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Mandarin, Melissa, Pine, Rosemary

Always dilute to 5% or less before using on the skin.
Skin test all products before using. Apply a small amount, about a drop or less, to the skin on your inner arm. Do not use if redness or irritation occurs. Keep all essential oils, perfume oils and fragrance products away from eyes and mucous membranes. If any oil gets in the eye rinse with full fat milk. If stinging continues seek medical advice.
Essential oils are flammable, keep away from plastics and polished surfaces.
