Used in perfumery for oriental type fragrances. High in minerals and vitamins especially vitamin C. Anti-oxidant, bactericidal, stimulant, muscle ease and anti-fungal. Research conducted between 1971 and 1991 shows that Turmeric has an even stronger action than hydrocortisone. When applied to skin (well diluted) and exposed to sunlight it has a strong anti-bacterial action, due to a substance called curcumin (more strongly anti-oxidant than Vitamin E.) Also used as an insect repellant.
Tumeric has been used for centuries in Chinese Herbal applications.
